The three findings
There are no percentages here on purpose. These are the themes that came up again and again.
Worrying about making payroll
Whether enough is coming in to pay the engineers at the end of the month.
What I take from it
A diary built on small callouts swings from week to week, and wages don’t. Steadier, larger jobs are what take the edge off that worry.
Struggling to pay themselves properly
Running the whole firm and still not taking a fair wage out of it.
What I take from it
When most of the work is low value, the owner is usually the last to be paid. More of the right jobs changes what’s left over at the end of the month.
Needing bigger, better paying jobs
Wanting boiler installations in the diary in place of a run of small callouts.
What I take from it
This is the one the Boiler Engine System is built for. One boiler swap is worth roughly 25 callouts, so a handful of installations a month changes the whole picture.
What it means for your firm
All three worries come back to the kind of work in the diary. A run of small callouts swings from week to week, and it rarely leaves enough over for the person who owns the business. Boiler installations change that, because one boiler swap is worth roughly 25 callouts.
That’s why everything I do is aimed at boiler installation enquiries: being found by the homeowner who is planning a new boiler, and being the firm they trust when they’re ready to ring.
If you’d like to see how that would work in your area, I’ll record you a free 5 minute video plan. There’s no call and no meeting.
