1. Who we are and how to contact us

This website is operated by Plumbing & Heating Growth (“PH&G”, “we”, “us”), the trading name of Gal Gazit, operating as a sole trader. We provide marketing services to plumbing and heating companies. We are the data controller for the personal information described in this notice.

Postal address: Auction Rooms, 5-7 Buck St, London NW1 8NJ, United Kingdom.

For any privacy question or request, email gal@plumbingandheatinggrowth.com, or call 07482 834234.

2. Information we collect

We collect information in four ways.

Meta (Facebook and Instagram) lead forms

If you request our free resource, “The plumber & heater’s boiler enquiry checklist”, through an Instant Form on Facebook or Instagram, Meta passes us the answers you gave. That is your name, email address, phone number and your answer to “Do you own a Gas Safe registered plumbing or heating business?”

Forms on this website

Our website forms collect the following.

  • Enquiry form: your name, company name, email address, phone number, the postcode area you cover, what best describes your firm, how many engineers you have, where your leads currently come from, and any optional notes you write about your goals.
  • Guide request form: your name, company name and email address.

Direct enquiries

If you email or call us, we hold the contact details and the content of your message so we can reply and keep a record of the conversation.

Technical information

Like any website, our hosting infrastructure processes basic technical information such as IP address and browser type in order to serve pages and keep the site secure. We do not use this to build a profile of you.

3. How we use your information

  • To deliver the free resource you asked for, and to give you access to it on this website.
  • To answer your enquiry and, where relevant, discuss working together.
  • To keep an internal record of enquiries and resource requests so we can follow up accurately and know what we sent you.
  • To operate, secure and improve the website, and to meet our legal and accounting obligations.
  • To measure the performance of our advertising, using the Meta Pixel where you have consented to it (see section 11).

Requesting a resource is not treated as agreement to receive ongoing marketing. Those are two separate things and are described in the next section.

4. Marketing emails and texts

Ongoing marketing, meaning emails or texts about our services, tips or future campaigns such as a 20-minute training, is a separate activity from sending you a resource you asked for.

On our website enquiry form, the wording you agree to when you tick the box before submitting is: “Send me my free 5-minute plan and the occasional useful email for boiler installers. No spam, unsubscribe any time.”

Requesting the checklist through a Meta Instant Form does not sign you up to ongoing marketing. We will only send you marketing where you have separately agreed to it.

You can opt out at any time by using the unsubscribe link in any marketing email, replying STOP to a text, or emailing us. Opting out of marketing does not stop us replying to a live enquiry.

5. Our lawful basis for using your information

  • Sending you a resource you requested and replying to your enquiry: we rely on steps taken at your request before entering into a contract, and on our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us.
  • Running and securing the website and keeping business records: our legitimate interest in operating the business, and compliance with legal obligations where they apply.
  • Marketing emails and texts: your consent, given by ticking the opt-in box on our forms. You can withdraw that consent at any time.
  • Meta Pixel and advertising measurement: your consent, given through the cookie notice on this website.

6. Service providers who handle your information

We do not sell your information. We share it only with providers that help us run the business, and only so far as they need it. Those are:

  • Our website hosting and database platform, which stores form submissions securely so we can act on them.
  • Resend, the email delivery service that sends us a notification when you submit a form on this website.
  • Meta Platforms, where an Instant Form is used to collect your details before they reach us, and where the Meta Pixel reports advertising measurement. Meta’s own handling of your data is governed by its own privacy policy.
  • Google Fonts, which serves the typefaces used on this site. Your browser requests those font files from Google when a page loads.
  • Professional advisers, and authorities where we are legally required to disclose information.

No other tools or platforms receive your information.

7. International transfers

Your information is stored and processed in the United Kingdom. Some of the providers above are based outside the UK, or use infrastructure outside the UK. Where information is transferred outside the UK, it is protected by an approved safeguard such as UK adequacy regulations or the International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum.

8. How long we keep information

  • Enquiry and resource request records: kept for as long as the business operates, so we have an accurate history of our conversations, unless you ask us to delete them sooner.
  • Marketing contact details: kept until you opt out or ask us to delete them.
  • Client and accounting records: kept for 6 years to meet UK tax and accounting obligations.

You can ask us to delete your information at any time (see section 9) and we will do so, except where the law requires us to keep it.

9. Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to:

  • ask what personal information we hold about you and get a copy of it;
  • have inaccurate information corrected;
  • ask us to delete your information in certain circumstances;
  • ask us to restrict how we use it, or object to our use of it;
  • ask us to transfer information you gave us to another provider;
  • opt out of direct marketing at any time;
  • withdraw consent where we rely on consent, without affecting past use.

To make a request, email gal@plumbingandheatinggrowth.com. We will respond within one month. We may ask you to confirm your identity first.

10. How to complain

Please tell us first if you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).

ICO, Wycliffe House, Water Lane, Wilmslow, Cheshire SK9 5AF. Helpline 0303 123 1113. Website ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint.

11. Cookies and the Meta Pixel

This website uses the Meta Pixel, a small piece of code from Meta Platforms, to measure how our Facebook and Instagram advertising performs and whether people who saw an advert go on to request the checklist or contact us. The pixel only loads after you accept cookies through the notice shown on this website. If you decline, the pixel does not load.

You can change your choice at any time by clearing your browser storage for this site, which will show the cookie notice again on your next visit.

Pages also load fonts from Google Fonts, which means your browser makes a request to Google servers. There is a private, password protected admin area for our own use, which uses browser storage purely to keep us signed in.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our services or tools change. The current version always appears on this page, and the “Last updated” date at the top shows when it last changed. Significant changes affecting how we use your information will be highlighted here, and notified by email where appropriate.
